Interfaces to Human Experience

Entrance Not For Everybody

Is an artwork that in part is based on invitation and giving. Referencing Hermann Hesse’s The Steppenwolf, Chris Marker’s La Jetée, James Turell’s Gasworks, The I Ching as well as William Gibson’s Count Zero. Additionally it makes use of an actor and an actress, yogic hypnosis, breathing techniques, costume design and a range of ancient Indian visualisation methods. As an installation it is formed to establish a deepened experience of self, and is created to become a lasting memory for the individual’s who were in a fluid conversation with the actress and thereafter were invited into the massive sculpture in which all other experiences begun but never ended.
